Dreams was born from an unexpected dream…
My name is Ernestina Salcido, owner of DREAMS, and we are a proudly hardworking Mexican family. Twenty years ago, we never imagined that Dreams would one day exist.
For many years, our family worked in small businesses, including candy sales and accounting-related work. Sewing was never part of our plans, and we never imagined it would lead us to such a beautiful dream.
Everything began in 2011 when, while staying at home and without a job outside the house, I was invited to work in a sewing workshop making clothing for horses. Before that, I had never worked in sewing professionally and had only used a sewing machine briefly during a school sewing class many years earlier. In fact, it had been more than 20 years since I had touched a sewing machine.
The owner of that workshop taught me how to sew, install zippers, and work with fabrics. One day, she sold me a sewing machine so I could continue sewing from home. That was the moment the story of Dreams truly began.
When the workshop eventually closed, I kept my sewing machine — and countless ideas and dreams in mind.
We started working from a small room behind our home.
At first, we created handmade dolls in different sizes and personalized party items for local customers. Over time, people began recommending our work through word of mouth.
As we searched for products we could truly make our own, we eventually discovered what we now specialize in and love creating the most:
custom aprons, uniforms, baby car seat covers, personalized gifts, and handmade products created with care and attention to detail.
Today, DREAMS is still personally operated by our family. Every piece created in our sewing workshop is carefully inspected before being delivered to our customers.
In 2025, we began promoting our products through social media and our website, grateful in advance for the trust, support, and encouragement of every customer who becomes part of our journey.
